Intro and Editor's Column by James Clark

Here'e the latest issue of Revelations. You'll probably notice some extra stuff in here that most everyone knows, but it's in there for any new people we happen to pick up from Tus-Con.

Also, I was very disappointed by the lack of interest most of the current Vamp LARP people showed in regards to the Deadlands testrun that we did at Ben's on Sunday. You missed some really great cooking, and because of the lack of people we weren't able to really have a "final check" on the system. I realize that some of you may not have been able to attend due to work or other conflicts, but out of 40+ people in the Tucson vamp LARP, only 10 people showed, 2 of which were running the game.

Anyways, enough of my bitching, here's the newsletter. Pay special attention to the "Schedule of Events"!!!

Ok, I'm gonna give you all some info that you should know. 1) The game fee at Monthly games is now $2 instead of $1. This is to cover costs of copying and distribution of the newsletter, as well as for food/drink at games. Also, Chris Robb has asked me to relate (and I agree) that if you wish to "donate" a book of 20 stamps you will get the next 3 games free! Basically, you pay for your next 3 games by donating stamps. Make sure you give him a receipt if you do this. On another note, Joseph Schultz is no longer on the ST-staff. He has decided to "retire" and start playing his character Darius more. Scott and Kim may be looking for a replacement ST. If you're interested, email them.

There's been some "communication" problems in the game lately. This is the distribution of info that is OOC into IC. If you're not certain whether your character knows a certain amount of info, as a ST. That's one of the reasons they are there. If you are going to email "larpers" and it is supposed to be In-Character, please put "( IC )" in the "subject line" of the post. Then whatever the subject is going to be. Also, if you think that information (or deals) is being passed that the ST's need to know about, make sure you "CC:" the mail to them as well. If you don't let them know, they won't and therefore whatever you are trying to do will probably take longer than anticipated.

There's been a slight problem with "crowd control" as well. During combat, especially when Celerity is involved, the ST's will call a "timestop". During this time, the first actions will go to those within the room, then just outside, and so on. If you are in an OOC area during this time, your character will be considered "off-site" which means that your character is not even at the location where the gathering is being held. If you have more questions about this, email the ST's.
