Gaudy Mendacious Suckfish

By Joe Palmer

I encountered that phrase in a letter Hunter S. Thompson wrote to Waren Zevon, and not playing Fritz anymore I need to use slightly more direct methods of getting good phrases to you folks.

So, recently Scott pointed out to me that I had not been scanning the plot orientation section of the new event sheets. I apologize, I am rude and annoying that way and just generally a pig. But I did it this month. As promised I'll let you know where the majority of people think the plot came from and if they were right. So, this month it was almost universal, no matter what people thought the big event was they all thought it was started by the players/ characters. And they were (...the envelope please...) exactly right. There were only two things started by the STs that night, and they were very small and affected few characters. Actually, one was started by the STs months before and the person who played the NPC did such a good job that plot developed a life of its own.

In other news I would like to point out the fact that we have one (and soon will have a second) PC ghoul. We have fairly well rounded out the ghoul rules and ghouls actually have some decent power. They can't go toe-toe with a serious vamp, but they get along well with influences. On the other side of it, they are slaves and can be very useful. I know there are many of you who enjoy bringing in new players and you sometimes seem to go through some serious connivance for your character and their character to know each other and be on friendly terms. This is something to think about, want your friends to be your vampire's friends, talk them into bringing in a ghoul. Gets them quickly involved in your plots, gives you an extra set of eyes and ears, and all for the low low price of extra blood.

O.K., let's get on with the show.

Oh, and I promise I'm gonna surf the web for some new fonts before next month. Of course, I am rude and annoying.
